The hostel itself is two stories with 6 and 8 bed dorm rooms as well as 4 bed rooms for about Y10 more per night. Linens and a thick comforter are provided and the rooms have very good air conditioning. The entire place is very clean as the restrooms (including western style) and showers. Although showers are only available from 6:30pm to 10:30am. The upstairs rooms have skylights that open and the wood surroundings make you feel like you are in an A-Frame cabin. A lounging room with several tables and chairs, sofa and cable color TV bring weary travelers together. There are also outside patios with chairs and end tables.
Downstairs are the 6 and 8 bedroom dorms, a reasonable priced restaurant with an extensive menu and outside dining. Dining outside is quite popular considering there is also a small bar and a climbing wall that seems to get a fair share of takers each night. And if these don’t hold your interest the waterfall and pool with koi fish might.
There are three computers available for rental, but free if you only need them for 10 minutes or so. This place books up very fast. I was lucky to have reservations which I made without a payment requirement at www.sinohotel.com.
