The timeshare units seem fairly new and are in excellent condition. We had a great two-bedroom unit (with A/C) that was large, clean, well equipped, up to date, and had a great patio with a BBQ overlooking the golf course. We were fortunate to get a unit right on the golf course and our patio was shaded in the afternoon. Some of the units not on the golf course had patios, which backed straight into steep dunes that were almost like walls of dried mud – it was so hot on those patios in the afternoon (in July) that you would not have been able to sit out.
We saw very few children, but I wouldn't call it a retirement community either. There is a nice pool and fitness centre in the clubhouse for those not golfing, or you could just spend a little time on the putting green. The clubhouse had a pro-shop, restaurant, and lounge.
