This is a big nineteenth century building a few metres from the main rail station, with a jumble of high-ceilinged rooms of different sizes and shapes. But this is distinctly better than the average station hotel. The reception is crisp and clean, and the whole place has been refurbished very recently, as well as being spotlessly clean. My room was small, plain, and adequate with a hand basin and minimal furniture, but at 18 euro a night, who’s complaining? Left too early to try the breakfast, but there’s a great bakery en route to the station.
