Description: Snowshoe Mountain's Highland House Lodge is one of Snowshoe's newest and most premiere locations to stay when visiting the resort. Centrally located along the resort's main village, the lodge offers easy access to shops and restaurants. More importantly, the lodge is located slope slide offering skiers and boarders ski-in/ski-out accessibility.
Book accommodations only at Highland House and the weekend rates during peak ski season will run about $300 a night. For a more economical deal, look into ski and stay packages, which typically run about $200 per person and include two nights of lodging in a one-bedroom Highland House unit and two days of lift tickets.
Highland House's one-bedroom units are a spacious break from standard studio hotel rooms. Each features a gas fireplace, full kitchen, high-speed Internet connections, a pull-out couch, and a separate bedroom. The units can easily accommodate a small family or four adults.
The lodge's amenities include hot tubs, laundry and an exercise facility. Additionally, lodge guests have access to lower-level ski lockers, an amenity that we particularly enjoyed because it meant not having to haul our ski equipment back and forth between our room and the slopes.
