Start with a stroll along the Seaside Promenade, view the Lewis and Clark statue at the nearby Seaside turnaround, or visit the Seaside Aquarium. They’re all within a few yards of the resort. The Seaside Historical Museum is small, but very interesting, and includes a tour of the Butterfield cottage. Carousel fans will enjoy the beautifully restored one in the Carousel Mall. Visit the diner there also for a trip back in time. Climb the Astoria column in Astoria for 360-degree views of the surrounding area, take a 12-minute drive to Cannon Beach and see Haystack Rock, and check out Ecola Park for some of the most beautiful scenery along the Oregon coast. The Lewis and Clark salt cairn replica in Seaside is over 100 years old and will give you an interesting perspective on the difficulties of their expedition.

Best Things About the Resort:
The resort is located at the beach near the end of the historic Lewis and Clark trail. You can walk across a hundred yards of sandy beach down to the Pacific and one of the best swimming beaches in Oregon, or use the outdoor swimming pool, the two outdoor spas, the exercise room, and the barbecue area at the resort. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchen, a gas fireplace, cable TV, a DVD player, a stereo, a CD player, a washer and dryer, and a telephone. What more could anyone want?

Resort Experience:
The main purpose of our road trip to Oregon was to meet up with old friends who had moved to Vancouver, Washington, a couple of years ago. We reserved four nights at the resort (we are WorldMark members) in a two-bedroom unit and invited our friends to be our guests. During those four days, we visited while walking the beach, touring the local museum and aquarium, shopping, swimming, relaxing in the spas, walking around the quaint old village, and sharing meals, most prepared in our own kitchen. The resort staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the resort completely.
