Description: Just 3 miles over the Kentucky Tennessee border in Cumberland Gap Tennessee at 603 Pennlyn Ave is the Old Mill B&B. Run by Roy & Nona Geide, this B&B is truly unique. The Old Mill was built in the mid 1800’s by a Confederate Major on a location said to have been used by the Boone family. It was later called the Chief Red Fox Mill. A huge mill wheel attached to the building still turns powered by the creek that runs adjacent to this B&B. there are 3 rooms upstairs and 1 down. We chose the Dogwood room directly above the mill wheel. At night an open window allowed us to go to sleep on our comfortable four poster, canopy bed listening to the lullaby of the rippling creek. A lounge area on the main floor stocked with complimentary treats, TV, puzzles and reading material allows you to socialize or just kick back before you retire for the night. The silence of this very small town will astound you as you drift off. In the morning a breakfast of southern favorites is offered in the well-appointed dining room. The featured item for our stay was Apple French toast, just scrumptious. After the breakfast where Roy made us feel as friends and not customers we went out to feed the trout in the mill pool with the "trout biscuits" provided.
