Loved the KP Haveli

I fell in love with this 500 year old family run guest house nestled at the base of the Mehrangarh Fort in the old town. Full of character, it has been restored to a very good standard with modern amenities. Clean, comfortable rooms are available for varying budgets with traditional decor, fans and A/C. An ample menu of tasty local cuisine and restaurant A La Carte for the less adventurous is available in the restaurant, on the terrace or via room service. Services including trips, laundry and massage are available. Very friendly and helpful staff make for a very pleasant experience for overnight or longer stays.

As consumers who care to get value for what they spend we were looking for a hotel that could offer us comfort, good service and decent food to keep us going...and in this SUN CITY ... I must say we were able to find one.

It's an elegant place with comfortable rooms, with management that is professional in their dealings, and staff that are friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was excellent especially the Thali, which was our favorite.
Another advantage...the hotel is a stone's throw away from the fort....and it has amazing views.

Some people might find reaching the hotel a little difficult but hey!!... If you are interested in seeing the true culture and lifestyle of this country this is a great place.
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a decent place in Jodphur.

Dear Friends, I lead a fairly nomadic life and stay in hotels and guest houses in several countries. I suppose I am used to sleeping in different beds every few nights, wake up in different surroundings and I suppose a guest house / hotel is pretty much just a means to get my head down and go to sleep. I hopefully also get a decent breakfast in the morning. I am not really worried what the establishment is like as long as it's clean, comfortable and the management and staff are at least friendly and helpful. But there was something about KP Heritage, Jodhpur which set it apart from other places I have stayed in.I discovered it quite by accident the day I arrived in Jodhpur, which was Sunday, 15th January, 2006! It's how I discover most places on the present trip to India as I am touring the country without a guidebook. I have used guidebooks before and I rather enjoy trying to prove them wrong. As soon as the auto brought me into the front courtyard to KP Heritage, I knew I had fallen in love with the place and I would be really happy there. It has a lovely old world Rajasthani style and one feels like one is already in the Mehrangarh Fort, as it rises, imposing the above one as one goes through the hotel. The choice of rooms is wonderful. They are all spacious, airy and comfortable, and the garden which is right in the middle of the ground floor, where my room is situated is a wonderful place to relax, enjoy some tea, coffee, fruit juice and in the evening have something stronger. The rooftop restaurant has a great choice of meals and one has from it an excellent view, not only of the fort, but of the Jaswant Thada and a fair bit of the old city. All that is missing is a choice of desserts, ice-cream etc. But I suppose one can get those from a corner shop virtually around the corner. I had a great stay here and the atmosphere is really friendly as it is also familial. I wish the guest house and its management staff the very best as it is also a fairly new business venture and will highly recommend it further. I hope this recommendation will help the future visitors for Jodhpur.

Krishna Prakash Heritage Haveli

I recently had an opportunity to go to Jodhpur. I stayed at Krishna Prakash Heritage Haveli, or KP Haveli. This is a new heritage hotel, an old haveli converted into an heritage hotel. The most striking points were the structure, ambience, and supportive staff. I really was impressed with the service and support of the staff. They were not as pushy as others for shopping and other things. This was a pleasant change from my stay at other places. This place is situated in heart of the city, very close to the Mehragrah Fort.
