Before leaving for Ukraine I contacted MIR Corporation in Seattle, Washington regarding accomodations in the Ukraine.
They provided airport pick up and departure from the selected accomodations.
They will also book train and/or bus tickets before arrival although this is somewhat more expensive than doing it yourself.
There is also contact in Kiev and they provide friendly and efficeint service.
This is a clean, comfortable, and warm apartment within a 10-minute walk from train station.
Our hosts were Robert and Maya Shanks. Maya cooked two delicious meals a day and Robert also went with me to the train station to help me purchase tickets and meet a friend there. He speaks some English so there is no problem with communication.
[p]Myra prepared delicious meals...borscht, pelmini, golubtsy and pork chops. Then at night there were plenty of snacks in the refrigerator.
The flat was warm, clean and comfortable. with lots of hot water for a shower.
