It may look a tad weary from the outside, but I found the place very satisfactory. The location is rather good--in the center of Jomtien--so lots of shops and restaurants are around. The hotel has its own little shopping gallery, as well. And the beach is just across the road. The rooms are spacious and clean. Each room has a balcony facing either the poolside, just an empty space between the buildings, or the sea (for extra charge). The beds are really comfortable (not too-soft ones), and the air-conditioning works nicely.
The hotel provides regular towels which are changed every day and pool towels which are changed on request. The only problem we found on the cleanliness front was that the trash bins were too small. Oh, and the maids are really friendly, and while they clean your room, they like to have Thai music playing on the side.
The staff is really nice in general. The receptionists kindly help you to learn your three phrases of Thai language, and the bell boys could be role models because of their politeness.
The hotel has a pool, but I recommend the beach instead. During the day, it can get really stuffy at the pool, and they can't really provide enough sun chairs. But, to compensate, there is a nice patch of grass where you can sunbathe just as nicely.
There is also a lack of room at the breakfast table, but the staff manages to seat you quickly and without a fuss. The breakfasts are nice--there is everything from European-style sausages and fried eggs to a salad bar, a hot dish suitable for dinner (for example, oven-baked potatoes and slices of pork), Asian soup, and pastries. We never had dinner inside the hotel, but the poolside restaurant was offering a nice atmosphere for drinks in the evening.
