Our studio occupied the entire 3rd floor of an immaculately restored old Victorian building literally across from the ferry dock!
Being male, with a hormonal affinity for things made out of metal that move over land, water, and through air, I never, ever stopped loving watching the ferries come and go (which they did about 15 times a day), regardless of the noise; not at 10:30 at night, or even 5:00 in the morning.
If, on the other hand, you prefer something…quieter, perhaps, just let them know-there are plenty of incredible resorts and B&Bs on the island.
