This is a perfect base for touring many of the island''s east and central attractions. Unlike Georgina''s Place, this is a more conventional three-bedroom house that can accommodate up to eight people. It''s stylish and warm, with wood-burning heater and air-conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of outdoor entertaining and relaxing space.
The views along Brown''s Beach are superb. It''s self-contained, so you''ll need to bring your food but everything else - linen, cooking equipment, etc. is supplied.
Penguins abound at night and can be found nesting in the rocks at the foot of the stairs to the beach in the yard. You''ll pay around AU$120/night for this slice of paradise and split between a group it''s a real value-for-money place. You''ll need to book well in advance in the peak summer season (November to March).
