Description: Having suites and a 'suitette', all with private baths, this B & B is furnished entirely with antiques.
The food makes this B & B different from any other I have stayed in. Breakfast is brought to your room on a tray. A very full breakfast with all the trimmings from fresh fruit to hand made breads. No dining room service. This is a nice touch but it makes it difficult to get a 3rd cup of coffee. Don't even ask me about the hot tea! Not one of my favorates for sure.
Each guest is given a coupon for a free lunch at a restaurant on the Square which is a five minute wake away. Also a coupon for a dessert at the bakery.
There is a fine line between being pampered and being over-managed. That is the primary reason I have trouble getting my partner to stay in a B & B. However, this is a very nice place to stay in an area where is it sometimes difficult to find an accommodation. The prices are more reasonable than many B & B's which are pushing up to nearly $200 per day. When you book, make sure that you have a clear understanding of your rate. Are you being charged per person or per room (as in a hotel).
A neighboring B & B, the Crockett, is for sale at $370,000. If you have an itch to own and run a B & B, give it a look. Photos attached to this journal.
