Best Things Nearby:
Although it is approximately 20 minutes from the strip, the Cliffs offers a great shuttle service and if you have the pleasure of having Patrick as your driver, he will definitely make your trip memorable.

Best Things About the Resort:
Very accommodating, friendly, and helpful staff. Nice location. Beautiful outdoor pool and hot tub!

Resort Experience:
The resort was very clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly. It was a reat overall experience! The concierge was even able to get us tickets to "O", one of the hottest shows on the strip -- we even got seats in the fifth row!!!

Best Things Nearby:
The Strip is 20 minutes by car.

Best Things About the Resort:
The pool area.

Resort Experience:
The only drawback to these lovely former condos would be the constant sales tours parading back and forth all over the complex.

Our two-bedroom unit was very nicely furnished and provided us with every imaginable piece of kitchenware. Beds are comfortable, as was the sofa sleeper in the living area. There is a small semi-private patio or balcony (depending on whether you're upstairs or down) that unfortunately overlooks only the parking lot. A small mountain range is in the distance, although construction of more housing is going to block that view soon. The pool area here is a delight. It is very, very clean and well-maintained and suitable in size for the number of units here. A large Jacuzzi, several gas grills, a fitness center and towering waterfalls are things added to this area that make it the most relaxing pool area I've yet to see (other than the Maui Westin).

A shuttle operates on a limited schedule to take guests to the Strip and also to Fremont Street. The office area features 24 hour internet access available to guests at no charge. This was very thoughtful, and our kids used it to keep in touch with their teachers and friends. We spent 8 days here and found it to be well worth the money spent -- it was a bonus vacation.

The location was both a good and bad thing. We felt as though we were commuting to work each time we went to the Strip, and it lacks the feel of being close to everything. For that very reason, we also appreciated the serenity it offered. When we left the strip and went back there, it felt like we were home.

The weather while we were there was perfect, with hot days and comfortable nights and it was early August. A car was a definite necessity to stay here. Groceries, gas and a pharmacy was maybe less than a mile from us, and the area was very clean and non-commercial feeling. Red Rock Canyon and miles of awesome scenery was just out the back entrance. I would say this is an excellent place to stay in Vegas as long as you realize how far out you are from the Strip.

Homestay Experience

Homestay I wish to pay a special tribute to a wonderful young family whom I stayed with for a month. They made every effort to make me feel at home in Mongolia and arranged my many excursions both in Ulaan Baatar and the countryside. They cooked wonderful Mongolian meals for me every day. I will never forget their kindness and love. I stayed in an apartment in the center of town. They gave me my own bedroom. We ate our meals together. They have a TV, bathroom and inside flushing toilet (in case you were wondering!!) :-)
