Check-in and check-out was effortless; however, the property was difficult to find in the dark. We went during the early part of the summer, before the action had started, so it was very quiet. During the summer, I understand that there is plenty going on and that it is quite a bit busier and therefore louder.

We talked with the staff and arranged to check in on Saturday (check-in is actually Friday). They were very accommodating. When we got to our unit there was a huge puddle of water in the middle of the floor. Before unpacking anything we called maintenance, who called the staff of the resort, and they had us placed in another unit within the hour. WOW! In addition, because it was their off-season and they had units available, they allowed us to stay an extra night.

The unit was very well equipped, even down to furnishing laundry detergent. We had dinner in almost every night. It was a great way to end a long day of skiing by getting the kids into bed as early as possible. The kitchen had everything we needed.

We also took a day trip to Niagara Falls one day. It was about 1 1/2 hours but well worth the drive. It's beautiful, even in the winter.

I can't say enough great things about the resort. We are looking forward to visiting again, maybe during the summer next time to enjoy some of the other great activities they have to offer.

Hike, bike or ride on many natural trails. In the summertime, there are several water activities, such as: sailing, water skiing, fishing, or just sunning on the shore. Come in the fall and see beautiful fall foliage, go hiking, antiquing, or take a winery tour. In the winter there is skiing. There is an open-air amphitheater at Chautauqua Institution, where you could take in a show or play. Buffalo and Niagara Falls are only a short drive.

I am looking forward to trading in here during their high season (summer) and absorbing all of the knowledge and cultural experiences I possibly can. I really enjoyed being here with my family and experienced a "true" vacation where I came home refreshed and recharged.

There are boat docks and the kids love to fish right at the docks. For the romantics, a fire with real firewood (provided by the timeshare), is a special treat on a cold winters night! And young ones love the walk down to the square to buy penny candies every day.

It's like seeing a Norman Rockwell postcard, and the beautiful landscaped grounds, magnificent trees, and historic buildings make this a MUST GO destination.

There's a jacuzzi in each unit and also a TV upstairs and downstairs.

Throw a boomerang to watch it come back at you and become an expert at cracking a whip.
