Best Things Nearby:
The ski hills were amazing! We skied Mt-Ste-Anne and Massif and loved the hills. The weather had turned mild and it rained so the hills we were icy but well groomed. The resort offered free shuttle service to both hills, but we prefered to be on our own time-table. Our main focus for visiting the area was to ski, but with 2 days of rain, that was dicy especially with foggy hills. We did visit Quebec City and Ste-Anne-de-Beaupre Church (which were beautiful-even in the rain), but again went on our own (the resort did offer tours for a fee).

Best Things About the Resort:
The staff was OK...s now was cleared from our walk and the people in reception and the information areas spoke English and were friendly and courteous.

Resort Experience:
After staying in several "Gold Crown" resorts in the past, we were very disappointed in our accommodations at Club Bacances Toutes Saisons. There is no way that this resort should have the "Gold Crown" distinction and we would never go back!

We stayed in a 1-bedroom unit that was small and cramped... we smacked into the kitchen table trying to unload our stuff. The kitchen is a joke. The sink is in the corner and you have to reach over to turn on taps and do dishes. The entire unit looked worn and in need of updating and maintenance, i.e. tears in kitchen floor, leaking bathroom fixtures, old, uncomfortable bed, worn bedspread, stained box-spring, wobbly floor lamp. I could go on. When you are stuck inside with inclement weather, accommodations matter a great deal!

All in all, the caliber of our unit was not "Gold Crown". It looked worn and outdated. Compared to our home resort, this place was a huge disappointment and we would not recommend it if your accommodations matter to you. As well, in all the other Gold Crown resorts we stayed in, a mid week cleaning (new bed linens, towels, etc.,) was included at no extra charge. At this resort, if you want that service, you pay extra for it. Also, there is a tourist tax charged on accommodations in Quebec, which we weren’t expecting.

We knew when we made the exchange that there was no indoor pool or hot tub and didn’t think it mattered. We found that it did, because with the crappy weather and once we did all the touristy things, there was not much else to do. A hot-tub would have been great to soothe those aching muscles after a day’s worth of skiing! We would have used the restaurant on our last day, but left the resort a day early.

Accomodations were okay, but not up the Gold Crown standards that we have bought into. Our resort is a luxury stay...this resort was just okay. There is no maid service provided. You do have a washer/dryer (which is great when you are skiing in wet conditions), but you have to wash your own towels and you have to BUY laundry detergent. None of this was told to us beforehand, so we were frustrated when we had friends coming up and all of our towels were dirty. Luckily, my husband was able to persuade the resort to give us some more towels. Another thing that bothered us was that we had a maintenance person burst into our room with a key at 9am. Luckily, we were awake and we were clothed, but it was not the first time it happened here. I found a comment card that somebody else had left and they stated that they were burst in on twice during their stay, so I would not recommend this resort if you want lots of privacy. The good thing is you get a great mountain view and the skiing in the area is worth it!

Best Things Nearby:
Mont Ste. Anne could be seen from our living room, our bedroom, and our balcony, and the view was spectacular. One could take a shuttle to the mountain, and there is a depanneur within walking distance for groceries, liquor, and movie rentals (many more in French than English).

The resort itself has a wonderful restaurant (and club members get a discount). There are two outdoor pools and a tennis court on site.

There are lots of things to do right in Ste. Anne, and Quebec City, with its history, culture, restaurants, and shopping, is a 30-minute drive.

Best Things About the Resort:
Everyone at Club Vacances is courteous, friendly, helpful, and genuinely interested in helping you to have a great holiday. There were information sessions and social events--each was well organized, on time, to the point, and at a time that would not interfere with your entire day.

I could sit and stare at the view all day long.

The one thing lacking was a gym or workout room, but I would not have had time in any case.

Resort Experience:
We were two people in a one-bedroom, and we felt it would be very cramped for the four people who could presumably fit in here.

The living area had a sleeper couch and two small straight-back upholstered chairs. There were no drawers for those in the living area to put their belongings, although there was a small area of shelves beside the front door. The television was a small 19-inch one, although we did see larger ones in some units when we peeked through the windows. There was a small fireplace in which you could only burn those special logs (available for $2 from reception).

There was an enormous balcony, which, again, looked out upon the mountain--four chairs and a table were stacked in the corner. It was winter and too cold to sit out, but the balcony and stairs were cleaned promptly every time it snowed.

The kitchen area was a joke in terms of the counter and layout. The sink was in the corner, and you had to stand sideways to use it and reach quite far to reach the taps. There were no drawers, and the cutlery was in a tray under the sink. There were, however, six of each place setting and plenty of clean pots and pans, even a fondue set. The appliances were clean and well maintained, and there was a gift basket with sugar, tea, and coffee. A dishwasher (a small one) and dishwashing soap was supplied.

The bathroom was small but clean, with plenty of towels.

The bedroom was also small, with a queen-size bed, two night tables, and one dresser with three drawers. There was a large window near the top of the cathedral ceiling, which could annoy those who like it dark for sleeping.

All of the closets had stuff in them, like brooms, a big fan (the unit has no air-conditioning), and the water heater, but there were plenty of hangers for your things.

The personnel at Club Vacances was very helpful. We were there for three mornings, and on two of them, a breakfast was served early enough so that you could get in a full day of skiing. One of these was to offer information about activities in the area, where to go for help about reservations for these, etc. The other morning was to give information about points, and it was not a sales pitch, just helpful information. Other activities put on by the resort were a cocktail party to meet fellow timeshare visitors, a pancake breakfast, a snowshoe outing, and a horse-drawn sleigh ride.

Mont Ste. Anne was a 2-minute drive down the road, and if you had no car, there was a shuttle available. You could purchase your pass at Club Vacances, and there were also special multi-day passes to buy.

Best Things Nearby:
There is a nice indoor/outdoor restarant. They do offer a menu written in English. There is also a great pizza if you so desire, prepared from scratch and you can take it back to your condo with you. Has a well attended bar.

Best Things About the Resort:
If it's quiet you want, you have it. Two pools, nothing fancy, but clean. Any tour bus will come out and pick you up and bring you back, so you don't have to deal with the heavy traffic.

Resort Experience:
If you go there for the ski season it would be perfect. But out of that time, it's a bit far out. The place is clean, but nothing much going on close by. We enjoyed driving farther up along the St Lawrence, watching the whales.

Best Things Nearby:
Mont Ste-Ane Ski Resort, Le Massif (Skiing), and Quebec City.

Best Things About the Resort:
Close to skiing.

Resort Experience:
This was the smallest condo I've ever stayed in! If you were using the stove, you couldn't use the sink. The dish washer was minute and not terribly efficient. The bathroom was smaller than my walk-in closet at home. I felt like I was in a dollhouse.

There are three levels and the only access is by outside stairs--believe me, in the cold and wind, that third-floor suite was a pain to reach!

Lastly, I disliked the management calling during the dinner hour to suggest we attend a presentation.
