We spent the first night of our honeymoon in the bridal suite at Chestnut Cottage. The house was Mary Boykin Chesnut's wartime home, and it definitely has southern charm and elegance. The bridal suite is upstairs in a separate cottage off of the back of the house. It has a canopy waterbed and a whirlpool bath. The bath itself was perfect for two, but the bathroom ceiling was angled a little low. The decorations are exquisite, and the service is excellent. They bring a full breakfast to your room in the morning, and they worked with us to hammer out all of the details of our stay after the wedding. SO ROMANTIC!!!
