While the unit was very clean, the only thing we were not pleased with was the bathroom of our unit. The rest of the condo was very new and up to date looking while the bathroom seemed old and appeared to need remodeling.

The resort has nice amenities which include a miniture golf, five hole, par-three golf course, tennis courts, outdoor pool with hot tub, and two lakes for fishing and boating. There is a small fee for boat and canoe rentals. There also have a nice recreation center with a game room, pool/ping pong tables and a fitness center. This building has a nice atmosphere with a fireplace and snack bar. The grounds also have outside picnic tables and grills. The resort also offers archery and has equipment to checkout.
The resort also has an RV park which has a laundry (sorry, no wash machines in the units).
One of the biggest advantages if this resort is the location. It is close to St. Louis and many other activities in the Ozarks and along the Mississippi River. It is about 10 miles from a good selection of stores and restaurants.

There is a small five-hole golf course, par 3 executive level that is free. The cleverly designed mini golf course is free. You can rent canoes and other boats at a nominal cost. They have several outdoor pavilions that can be used for major events. There is a outdoor pool which I understand is to be enclosed this fall, and a couple of tennis courts. There is a nice game room with video games as well as pool and air hockey. A modern gym and work out room is also available with quite a few piece of equipment. The resort also has archery, well marked and easy to follow nature trails and has had horses in the past.
One other thing this resort has is a large area of hook ups for RV''s. You can stay up to 2 weeks at a time. There is a laundry/shower facility for the RV area. There is also a Wilderness Camping area with platforms for tents and fire pits.
We''ve been to Timber Creek often as it is only about 50 minutes from our house. We used it for a 2000 New Year''s Eve party, a weekend getaway, a place for out of town friends to stay, etc. The only potentially negative thing I can say concerns children. Timber Creek advertises itself as a safe place for children and we have discovered if you are there at times school is not is session there will be a lot of unsupervised youngsters of all ages running around. We have had a 5-6 yr. old stand about 6 inches from our table and watch us eat. So, if you think that would be a bit irksome come to Timber Creek when school is in session.
