The Hotel Terminus is about one block from the train station facing a busy square that''s actually round called Place Lamartine. The hotel is on the former site of the home of Vincent Van Gogh, which was bombed during WWII. The accomodations at the hotel are cozy and quaint; the congenial proprietor understands English. In March I paid 416 francs for two nights, roughly $32 a night, for a room with private bath and a double bed. A grocery store is conveniently located around the corner, and the entrance to the city walls are less than five minutes away.
