First the good points : The meal we had in the restaurant was very good although rushed.
the room was very nice and clean.

Bad points :The so called spa is no better than my local run down council pool if you want to use it take ear plugs and be prepaired to dodge the screaming children with there rubber dinghys and scuba diving action men. The steam room and sauna are set away from the pool area although the showers in this area had been taken out and people either had to walk back round the pool dripping in sweat to shower or 99% would just jump in the pool. The sauna was the smallest i have ever seen, more than 2 people in it and it was over crowded the changing rooms were very basic with only two showers and nothing else dirty towels were everywhere just left in piles.

The reception staff were very polite although incompetent. Booked an early morning call so we could have a nice breakfast before our treatments this never happened when i complained to the manager I just got the response "what would you like me to do about it"

During our stay the fire alarms went off and a few people went to the fire point in the grounds although people who were eating were allowed to carry on eating and no doubt risk being burned alive. The staff did'nt seem to know what they were doing.

My wife had two treatments and said they were very good and and not rushed

This hotel can in no way be classed as a spa or somewhere to relax

Best Things Nearby:
Stratford-Upon-Avon and Warick Castle

Best Things About the Resort:
Very central for most places of interest

Resort Experience:
The apartment very clean, but kitchen utensils are limited. However, we chose to eat out at the many good restaurants nearby.

Stratford-Upon-Avon was a delight, steeped in history. Warwick Castle is a must; on a sunny day, there is nowhere better.

This is a wonderful estate to stay in. It did get a little warm, as we were there during the heat wave (London hit 100 degrees). Opening the room up and letting it cool worked fine. The main hall and estate are magnificent, with a lake and large walking areas. We saw two types of wild deer on the drive into the resort. One was the large red deer, the other a small deer called a Montjack. Also saw several pheasants. We bought a bird book to identify the birds and the staff were most helpful whwnever we asked. Food was excellent also. I would return in a second.

Best Things Nearby:
Stratford-Upon-Avon, Royal Shakespeare Company, Charlecotte Park, Blenheim Palace, Warwick Castle.

Best Things About the Resort:
Oxford Tour & Costwolds Walking Tour with a guide provided by Walton Hall.

Resort Experience:
Located on 65 acres, this is a working castle still owned by the family. It is a very romantic getaway. Depending upon the time of year you stay, you have a plethora of options available to you. Our condo was very comfortable and was furnished quite nicely. When I was last there they were still working on upgrading all the facilities and as I recall we still did not have washer/dryer within the unit, but we made do with the general facilities.

The resort is maintained for both summer and winter and has an indoor pool as well as an outdoor pool. It also has spa services and a sauna (which came in very handy).

Parking can be a bit of a jaunt from your condo to the parking lot. The housing is either in the main castle or adjacent, so parking is not directly in front of your condo.

Best Things Nearby:
Although resort is remote (as most timeshares are) there is lots to do a short drive away - horseriding, shopping, museums, theatres, Warwick castle and more. It is a great location to learn about that part of the country.

Best Things About the Resort:
The resort is a standard resort, but I wouldn’t let that put you off - this resort is gorgeous. It's an old stately home so it has great history. There are loads of on site activities (pool, archery, gym, beauticians, hairdressers, etc.) and the restaurant was delicious. I’ve never wanted to lick my plate before but the night I ate there I was tempted. Even the gardens and views are fantastic. It has everything you need for a pleasant break away.

Resort Experience:
I stayed in a one bedroom in the main building. I have to say the main building rooms aren’t suitable for those with walking difficulties as there are lots of stairs up to the rooms. However, even our one bed sleep four was huge! The furnishings fitted perfectly with the age of the building. It had high ceilings. Four poster beds and loads of room. The extra bed was in the living area and was a cupboard bed (not a sleeper couch), which was big and comfortable.

The only bad thing I can say about the resort was that you have to pay £5 per person a week to use the gym facilities and that includes the pool. Other than that the resort is great.
