The units were really large and sported a full-sized laundry room, a bar, two bedrooms, two baths, and lots of living space. The master bedroom had a walk-in closet! Our favorite thing was that instead of a pullout bed, this resort has two rollaway beds. Not only are they more comfortable than a pullout, but you can also put them wherever it’s most convenient for you. There is a balcony that has a lovely view of the ocean.
The beach is a short walk over the dunes and features a wide enough spot to sit or play, and a beach road perfect for walking, even with a stroller! The pool here is unheated, but the hot tub was great! You are on your own here, there are no scheduled activities, but no one will bother you either. There are plenty of places nearby to go birding that are very accessible. Most of them have a very short walk with a huge variety of birds. Have no idea what you are looking at? Just ask. There is always someone who is willing to point things out just don't forget the binoculars!

It was discouraging as we drove into Mustang Island--it is nothing like Myrtle Beach or Daytona. This is truly just a natural beach with nothing commercial around but after a day of getting over the difference, we really liked the isolation. And truly loved the timeshare accommodations.
