Villa Flora has Spanish style architecture. In Canadian dollars the rooms range from $114 - 134 including all taxes. The accomodations are all on the first floor, in a separate wing of the house with separate entrance. Breakfast is served poolside. The pool is in a green house, with roof windows that open to let out the heat, and close to keep out the rain. It is on a acre of land and beautifully landscaped. The B and B has changed hands since we stayed there, but our adult daughter has stayed there since, and reports that the new owners are very nice.Quaint and different, great for cozy nights and romantic baths, and very popular with honeymooners! The room is open concept, bright, spacious, and airy, with a high ceiling and a Spanish tile roof over the ensuite area. There is a Spanish-style fireplace (gas, with remote) across from the bed, and a large open-style bathtub. The choice of bed is yours: king or twin.
Villa Flora is an 80 minute drive from downtown Toronto, depending on traffic (which is usually very bad except between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.), 10 minutes by car from Old Town Niagara-on-the-Lake, 10 minutes from Port Dalhousie, home to the famous Henley Regatta, and 15 - 30 minutes, depending on route and traffic, to Niagara Falls and its casino and restaurants.
