Fairfield Atlantic City at Skyline Tower

This timeshare resort is a new building located along the boardwalk. The view from the upper floors are great. The rooms were great. We had a 1 bedroom suite. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, there was a whirlpool tub and a separate bathroom with shower stall. I'd definitely stay there again if I had to go back to Atlantic City.

Resort Experience:
Check-in was quick and friendly. We had a one bedroom on the 24th floor. The room was spotless and very appealing. Plenty of space for all four of us. The kitchen was full sized, with all the fixings for you to cook in—with a dining table also. I had no complaints about the room at all. Even the view from the balcony was nice. The sixth floor had everything from the arcade room, to the complimentary laundry room, to the vending machines, the computer room, the pool, lined with lounge chairs, the gym, and the TV room with a large screened TV, two pool tables, table tennis, and all kinds of board games. You get a weekly activities menu when you first arrive at the resort. This resort was excellent, I would definitely go back again. My reservation was for 5 nights but I could only stay for 3 due to an emergency at home. It was cold outside during our stay, so luckily the resort had plenty of things for the kids to do.

They tried to push more timeshare sales on me, and I didn't appreciate having to say no numerous times - lost track after four. Also, at first I didn't understand why we had to pay for valet parking, after dropping items off in the truck I did (they use the same ramp to go up as they do to come down and it's very tight). They also let me keep the truck in parking even after I had checked out. Check in day and check out day is considered 2 days and parking is $5 per day -  I would still recommend the place but I've never paid for parking at any other fairfield.

Near the beach

Resort Experience:
The description of the resort gives the impression that it is on the boardwalk. It is just off the far end of the boardwalk, which has only boardwalk--no casinos, hotels, or shops. It was quite a long walk to get to the main boardwalk. At night, it would be a desolate walk back to the resort, as it is poorly lit.

The rooms were okay, but the kitchen was not stocked with any utensils, and it was basically a small refrigerator and microwave. During our stay, the resort was very noisy. The room next door had lots of kids who seemed to be awake 24/7 and slammed the door every time they went in or out. The room was nice enough. If you plan to be out a lot, it would be fine.

Atlantic City beach doesn't require beach tags, as most Jersey beaches do. I was with my daughter and 15-month-old grandson. It would have been nice to stay in a resort located more conveniently to all the action. Personally, Atlantic City is more for adults. We prefer Ocean City, Strathmere, or Stone Harbor for family vacations.

The resort was great! The one-bedroom was very spacious, and the view was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel does not have a casino, but we took advantage of the one next door and most down the Strip.
