The Cheshire Cat Inn is a beautiful Victorian home located about 4 blocks off the main Santa Barbara "strip". The rooms are beautifully decorated (Laura Ashley style) and are named after Alice and Wonderland characters. I stayed in the Tweedledum suite, and was treated to an extra large jacuzzi bath overlooking the gardens, a "goodie basket" containing snacks, as well as some complimentary champagne and alcohol (Bailey’s) for the morning coffee.
Additionally, the suite had a microwave and a fridge so I was able to purchase food at a nearby "gourmet" convenience store, and eat it in my wonderfully romantic room. Next to the bed, there was a stack of journals that previous guests had wrote it, and you could write in as well to share your experiences. It was really interesting reading about the proposals, make-ups, and family gatherings that had happened in the room I stayed in.
