TLN is special. She sits at the base of Ajax Mt., right at the top of town.
A beautiful corner entry leads into reception. Just beyond, big stone fireplace and library. The right wing of the building has shops, health spa and lounge.Rooms are above. The left wing has dining room and lounge, again with rooms overhead.
The property faces an outdoor pool and steaming spa. Ajax Mt stands beyond. The ski lift is just past the pool area. At the lift sits the Ajax Tavern, great lunch and/or drinks.
On our first visit to TLN, we dropped by the sunken lounge, nibbled fresh sushi and watched returning skiers drink and praise their glories.
Our second visit was for dinner with friends and family. We received a wonderful booth looking out toward the mountain. Service superb. After drinks, I realized that I had left my reading glasses back at the room. No problem, our waiter brought out a leather case containing a selection of loaner glasses. Obviously a few forgetful customers like me. I loved it.
Anyway, great dinner and wonderful vibe throughout the whole resort. Next time in Aspen, we''ll definitely stay here.
