Very Disappointed

My Son & Daughter had their first Wedding Anniversary at this hotel.
Here are the things that they told me about:
1. Tub did not drain
2. No coffeemaker in room
3. Dog hair on bed roll.
4. lotion bottle had chewed up area from what appears are teeth marks.
5. bed was full size, not queen size as was told.
6. behind the bed was dust rolls
7. extension cords.
This was not a pleasant stay for them and they will never stay there again.
I paid for this with the assurance from the Anchorage that their stay would be a very pleasant one.
I will not recommend this hotel to anyone!
What Beach Resorts Should Be!

We enjoyed the location right from the start as The Anchorage Inn in York Beach is what a Beach Resort should be... right on the Beach! The rooms were very clean, soft beds and well appointed with a screen door which let in the breeze from the Ocean! The staff was more than friendly and very professional, but not phony. Patti the general manager did her best to make sure the sun shine while we were staying (it had been raining) and sure enough, we had three beautiful days! We would recommend this beautiful resort to anyone who has a family and wants a great time!

There are two buildings, but I recommend the newer building that faces the ocean. If you are on the third floor, you can see the Nubble Lighthouse.
The rooms have two double beds. The rooms are nice, but not extravagant.
The lobby or atrium of this building contains a pool that is long and narrow, and it's really great to swim the length.

The Anchorage Inn

This inn is located across the street from Long Sands Beach. Some of the second-floor rooms offer an ocean views. We stayed in the standard rooms, but the inn does offer suites. The standard rooms are very clean. Every room has a fridge in it. There are two indoor pools, an outdoor pool, and a work-out room on site. The workout room contains two or three cardio machines and free weights. They have packages midweek and off season that include dinner for two at the Sun N' Surf across the street. The accomodations were nice, the location and pool were the best part. If you go off season, often the price includes dinner at your choice of several different restaurants. Definitely a good deal!
