Now, we stay at our condo, but the time we fell in love with the area we stayed at Las Rocas resort, which is almost next door to the condo we bought. The standard rooms aren''t much, but the junior suites are nice: each has a private balcony, fireplace, refrigerator, king size bed in an area separated from the living area, coffee pot, and charming bathroom with a Mexican style shower/tub combination. The balconies overlook the beach, pool and palapas. Each is private enough to enjoy sunbathing there. The staff cheerfully provides wood for the fireplace and bottled water if you wish, though the resort has a reverse osmosis water system, so bottled water is really not necessary. In addition to a lovely restaurant which overlooks the beach, the resort has a spa with reasonably priced treatments.

Las Rocas Hotel, 6 miles south of Rosarito, with 26 suites, 8 deluxe rooms and 40 regular rooms, all 74 accommodations have incredible ocean views off your own private terrace. The suites and deluxe rooms also contain a fireplace and a wet bar with a refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave.
