Leisure Resorts Brigantine Beach

  • December 22, 2003
  • Rated 3 of 5 by DSEL from PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania
Best Things Nearby:
(10) minutes to Atlantic City boardwalk. (5) minutes to the Marina with the new Borgata casino. Good food at the casinos.

Best Things About the Resort:
It had an indoor pool. The hotel was right on the beach. Good on site restaurant.

Resort Experience:
The hotel was built in 1927. The rooms were ok, but needed updating. The indoor pool was not heated. The room had an ocean view and at night you could see the light from the hotels on the Atlantic City boardwalk. Great buffet at the Showboat casino. We enjoyed a free museum which told about the history of Atlantic City and the boardwalk. During the summer this place probably will be busy.

Best Things Nearby:
Storybook Land, beach, casinos, and boardwalk.

Best Things About the Resort:
Small, kid friendly, indoor pool.

Resort Experience:
The resort is older and could use some updating, but many people return every year, which says a lot. No balonies on the rooms.

Best Things Nearby:
Excellent restaurants, historic Smithville, Renault Winery, Cape May.

Best Things About the Resort:
Every room has an ocean view. Programs and activities. Owner barbecue on holidays. Coffee and tea are provided each morning.

Resort Experience:
The waves will lull you to sleep each evening and the exhilarating salt water will wake you each morning. At night, you are only a 5 minute drive to the exciting casinos the resort will also shuttle you there for free -- what more could you ask for?

Leisure Resorts at Brigantine Beach

The highrise hotel is old, but conveniently located on the beach with an indoor pool. The common areas were clean and satisfactory except for the exercise room, which was very small, not air-conditioned, and poorly equipped. The one-bedroom unit had a very small bathroom, windows that did not open, and furniture and decor that was old and dated. The unit seemed damp most of the time.

I looked at the Villas behind the highrise--modern two story units, much better, and if coming to the Jersey shore would recommend.

Small studio on lobby floor was just right and offered a partial view of the ocean.

Older guests on the upper levels were disappointed the elevator was broken, but the beach location was perfect and the restaurant downstairs very good.
