We loved the Scandinavian feel of the place with natural-colored wood furniture and floors.

Sottsass in Val Badia was one of only 2 places we had to choose from when we called to see if a timeshare was even available so late in the year. We just trusted that it would be a nice place.

First the negatives..we didn't ski..if so it would have been great except for the fact that it was the end of ski season. The resort was shutting down for the season and we were in its last weeks so not much was going on. It was miles of winding mountain roads to the nearest anything.

The positives..we had incredible views of a huge mountain named Scottsass out our huge windows that let the sun pour into our very Scandinavian looking condo. The one bedroom condo had beautiful wood floors, cabinetry and furniture. There were feather down comforters for our use. The second bed was a futon in the livingroom. There was a built-in eating knook with cafe like seats. It was very pleasant.

The kitchen was compact and efficient. One cabinet over the sink area was a drying rack for dishes just washed...the bottom of the cabinet was louvered so the water would drip off the dishes. There was no microwave or dishwasher but it had a full oven/range. Kitchen and bath had tile. The whole place was spotless and very pleasant. There was a small deck outside.

Since my luggage had been lost in Milano, I only had the items in my carry on and what I had purchased after we landed. The hotel staff was helping me track down my luggage. When it arrived very late in my trip, they brought it to me promptly. It appears that United had sent my luggage, not to DC, but to LA and then it floated around for days until reaching me five days into my trip. We did get a small compensation plus business class return tickets to the States.
