Amazing View and Tennis Field

I stayed at the Nastro Azzurro Resort this summer with my girlfriend for 6 nights, and enjoyed our stay thanks to the friendly staff and the nice room we stayed in.
Our room was provided of balcony with view on both the gulf, the gulf of Naples and the gulf of Salerno. The weather was fantastic and we apreciated very much the swimming pool with the bar and the tennis field where i had a lot of fun playing with my girlfriend and another couple from new york.
The hotel is located on the way to Positano, then it was very easy for us to drive along the amalfi coast with the car we rented in naples.
The hotel is not right in to the center of Sorrento, but thanks to the shuttle service provided for free we were able to get to the historical center in 10 minutes.
The breakfast was excellent, and the cappuccino was fantastic!!
Anyway i highly reccomend this hotel for those who want to stay in a quiet location and visit the most important places of the sorrento peninsula and the amalfi coast.

As we arrived late on a friday night (during an eletrical storm which ended with all the lights out!) we were hungry, but the restaurant was closed. Upon checking in and going to our room we were grateful to see we had been left a room service platter of salads, meats, quiches, breads and dessert. I must say now that the food in the hotel is exquisite, we couldn't fault it at all - there is a huge selection at breakfast, including bacon, eggs, breads, meats, fruit, donuts etc...

Dinner was also great, 4 courses including a selection of 6 meat and 5/6 vegetarian choices for the main course. The menu changed every night and sometimes it is hard to make a decision because so many of the dishes sound so tempting. There was a huge entree buffet and also dessert buffet, so be prepared to gorge yourself. We spoke to other people who said that the food in their hotel was horrendous - so this is a huge plus point.

A bus runs into Sorrento every 1/2 hour or so. It's a pleasant trip and drops you right in the action; they start running at 08.00 and finish at 00.30. The trip takes between 15-25 mins depending on traffic, but it's a pleasant enough drive. After 20.30 they ask you to tip the driver 1 euro each way. At first we felt the location would have been better had it been more central, however many hotels in the area are in the hillside and operate this bus service to the main town.

The hotel has a huge garden/forest, and the pool is to the back through a path a 5 minute walk from the main building. There are also tennis courts and bowls courts available for use.

The room itself was well outfitted, with a good shower, TV and minibar. In the evening, there is entertainment in the large lobby/bar and you can charge all drinks back to your room. The verandah has beautiful views of the countryside and the bay of Naples. The staff at the hotel are extremely pleasant and would bend over backwards to please.
