A bit sparse but location, location, location! Kavalari is just steps off the main promenade and provides breathtaking views of the harbor. The hotel is basically carved into the island''s cliff so the rooms stay quite cool even without using the available air-conditioning. Our room was fairly small but clean and comfortable. Two twin beds, an armoire, nightstand, minifridge and a dresser occupied most of the available floor space. You will hear some foot traffic in and out of the hotel but nothing to keep you up at night.
We had access to the multilevel terraces that are shielded from the busy thoroughfare above that so that we enjoyed the magnificent Grecian sun in relative peace. Again, you just can''t imagine the views. There is no pool at Kavalari and I did note that some hotels further down the cliff did have them.
As I stated before, Kavalari is right off the main square at the top of the cliff. The city is built-up all the down the cliffside to the harbor. You should keep this in mind when booking accommodations. I didn''t even venture all the way down to the water - but coming up to the main shops and restaurants is quite a journey from the bottom. Before booking a hotel, make sure you truly understand where it''s located and that you''re up to the trek if it''s further down the cliffside!
My recommendation for Hotel Kavalari is based on location and price.
