Marilu's Bed and Breakfast

  • February 13, 2006
  • Rated 4 of 5 by mergonsid from Victoria, Alabama
A well located bed and breakfast in the Providencia area of Santiago. Close to subway and bus lines and a short walk to the river and to Cerro San Cristobal and the popular Bohemian district. Marilu is a wonderful hostess, friendly, helpful and full of information. The rooms are comfortable and convenient and the breakfast is a great opportunity to meet people from all parts of the world. Marilu speaks enough languages (French, English, Spanish) that it is possible to communicate with folks from everywhere. A real treat!

This was in an excellent location in Providencia and within walking distance to the best nightlife areas in BelleVista and Succia. It was also close to the tramway atop Cerro San Cristobal, offering the best views of Santiago. The hostess speaks adequate English, Spanish, and French, and is very helpful with making reservations. Breakfast is continental, and it centers on great conversations with the other international guests. I recommend reserving your room early in order to ensure one with a private bath.
