Description: This Hard Rock covers beyond your basic hotel, casino, and dining. This is your one stop getaway experience complete with a spa, dining, shopping, and live venues. One you arrive here, you don’t have to leave! This is the place celebrities, musicians, and trend setters come to play.
Our first night in Ft. Lauderdale was slated for a mild night after an almost 700 mile drive. After napping we headed over to the casino for a night of fun. We parked in the complex’s parking lot and when we got to the bottom level I was surprised to see all the business housed in here. It looked like downtown Disney.
The hotel is an AAA 4 diamond rated hotel that boasts 481 spacious and luxurious rooms. Guests can enjoy the 4.5 acre pool complete with water slides. Chickees (cabanas) can be rented and the frond covered rooms include a fridge and TV. They also have daybeds. Chickees and day beds can be rented by the general public. Guests and the general public can relax away a few hours at the on sight spa. There is even a 14,000 square foot state of the art environmentally friendly spa for your car!!! The hotel also offers concierge service as well as a business center.
Gaming fans will love the 140,000 square foot casino. There are almost 100 tables offering Blackjack, Baccarat and mini Baccarat, and poker. There are high limit tables and slots for those with big pockets. Serious poker players can enjoy the 40 table poker room. Open 24/7 the room runs several poker games and hosts poker tournaments. They even have nice comfy couches and TV for the people who love poker players and are tired of shopping (like me).
Speaking of shopping there is plenty of that here. There are close to 2 dozen places to blow your vacation dollars. Of course there are 2 Hard Rock stores, the Seminole store selling beautiful local made Native-American items, White House/Black Market, Quick Silver, or check out the funky clothing at Lucky Devil Tattoo.
When your done dining and need refueling, 19 places offer food to get you going again and everything from quick snack to fine dining and all price ranges. Pick up some snacks at Ben and Jerry’s. Wetzel’s Pretzels, or the snack bar at the casino. Sit down dining includes the Hard Rock Café, Johnny Rockets, Hooters, Council Oak Steak House, or enjoy Cuban food at Bongos.
There is also plenty to keep you entertained. The center stage hosts free concerts from all types of musical genres. While we were here, I went and enjoyed some Tejano music and watched the salsa dancers showing off their best moves. The Hard Rock live host top entertainment from all over the world and includes everyone from ZZTop to comedian Kathy Griffin to El Divo (but that show is sold out). You can laugh yourself silly at the Improve. Other options include Wet Willies, Murphy’s Law, or Slims. For more education entertainment, enjoy the Seminole/Oakalee Indian Village which gives the history of the Seminole tribe (and the owners of the complex) or enjoy several tours given by Billie Swamp Safari tours. And when you need to just sit for a spell, go outside to the incredible fountain and if you’re lucky enough to be there after dark, enjoy the free light and water show.
There are a number of places through the complex to hosts your next meeting or big event. The complex hosts a number of events throughout the year. Parking is free and there is bus parking. And don’t forget to go into the Hard Rock and check out all the memorable. My two favorites were the massive Motley Crue and Megadeth displays. And you can take pictures of the memorabilia! One employee yelled at me for doing so, but a manager told me I was more than welcome to take all the pictures I wanted, just not of the games.
Recommendation: Oh very highly recommended.

This is a terrific place to come and spend time here or spend a few days here. While we were here there were a number of bands and Eddie Truck from That Metal Show from the Monsters of Rock out enjoying themselves. The outdoor fountains are so beautiful and a nice getaway when you need a break from all the hustle and bustle of the complex.
