Best Things About the Resort:
Large suites. Nicely landscaped. Two outdoor pools. Beautiful views of the lake. Very friendly staff.
Resort Experience:
The resort was showing some signs of age. We needed to vacuum and wipe down the kitchen when we got there because the suite hadn't been very well cleaned. Some of the living room furniture was stained and looked pretty old. However, I spoke to some others who stayed there and they had no complaints.
The grounds were very well taken care of. Tennis courts, basketball net, fishing, pools, hot tub, playground. The pools were nice, especially the one on the lake. The resort staff was very friendly.
This resort is minutes from Houston. NASA is a must for all ages and will take the day to tour. The downtown aquarium was interesting and fun, even if it was hard to get to. We took a day trip to Galveston and Moody Gardens. This, too, was time well spent.
