The campground was very nice and clean. The rangers were very polite and helpful with anything that we needed, from food to buy or resturants. They have a showerhouse with hot water and electric. They also have bathrooms throughout the campground.

The campground is separated into two halves one is right on the lake and the second is across Rt9 on the mountain side. We prefer to stay on the lake side thats where the Showers are located. The campground has its own beach which has a lifeguard on duty. The swim area is roped off, but if you want to scuba dive or snorkel you can enter from the beach but you don't have to stay within the ropes. If you have a boat you can anchor it off the beach area. There are public boat ramps where you pay a fee to use their ramps, the one we used was $5 in and $5 out. If you have a small boat or Jet Ski you can put it in right from the beach. There is a camping store where you can buy food and supplies. At night a truck comes along and sells firewood. If you don't want to cook there is a restaurant right across the street (now this is roughing it!) They also have camping on the islands...the lake is filled with alot of small islands, some just big enough for one tent! You'll need your own boat to get to them. The bigger islands have docks to tie up your boat. They are very primitive-- no bathrooms! We always talked about staying on our very own island, but never did--not yet anyway! We did explore them though, pretty neat, but a long way to go the the store for supplies!
