Sunday River is so close to this resort, but at the same time far enough off the hill that you have peace and quiet. The resort is easy find, and only an hour's drive from some great shopping in North Conway.
Best Things About the Resort:
Indoor pool which was perfect for this getaway - the kids spent hours spashing and playing. Very close to gas and dining. The resort also offers great picture opportunities
from the back deck.
Resort Experience:
The resort itself is nothing amazing, however it is easy to find and central to all the area has to offer. The units are large, clean and well maintained. The owners and staff here are very friendly and take time to make you feel special. It’s not a cold check-in and -out procedure, but rather warm and friendly. The river behind the resort offers canoeing in the summer...something I love to while away the time...so peaceful. There are barbecue grills and an outside children’s playground, but we didn't get a chance in the winter because of the snow! The views of the mountains can be breathtaking…we were treated to a light snowfall with the mountains looming in the distance. Perfect for getting us in the Christmas spirit. The ski hills were only minutes away and offered plenty of options; the kids particularly enjoyed the snow tubing. Then off to North Conway where the Christmas spirit took over again with all the shoppers and great discount shops playing all the festive music.
Perfectly great getaway to get in the right frame of mind for Christmas, right down to the warm cup of hot chocolate on the back deck while it was snowing!
