Description: Best Things Nearby:
Door County! Actually, we really enjoyed the fact that it was on the 'quiet side' of Door County and that from Bailey's Harbor there isn't anything farther than a 15 minute drive!
Best Things About the Resort:
We really liked the seclusion of the resort. You feel like you are at summer camp sometimes. The unit we were in was back in the woods and we couldn't see our neighbors unless we really tried.
Resort Experience:
The Rushes is a wonderful place to stay while in Door County! We just loved the place. It is set in its own Wilderness Preserve and is just beautiful. All of the units are two-story, two-bedroom townhouses with the second floor being the entire master suite. Also, each unit has its own one-car attached garage and fireplace. I can't say enough how much we loved the garage! It has its own opener attached to your key ring and it's just a really nice addition to the whole unit.
The living area was nicely decorated and the fireplace was a huge, stone delight that ran up the wall all the way to the vaulted ceiling. Though we didn't use it, the unit came with plenty of firewood for a week. The kitchen included just about everything you'd have at home except, if you wanted a griddle or a larger item, you had to get it from the front desk. The unit also included two decks overlooking a great section of woods. One was the main deck off the living area and the other was a private balcony off the master suite.
The staff were very accommodating and were very nice and pleasant to us and our kids. When we checked in they called me by name and even verified that they had two cribs and two high chairs in the unit already for our kids. We would definitely go back!!
