Best Things Nearby:
The beach behind the Marriott was peaceful, with no waves - great for our 7-year-old.
Best Things About the Resort:
Very friendly and helpful staff, who arranged a tour of the Hilton timeshare program. This got us great discounts on our activities (helicopter ride, snorkeling with manta rays), which the staff also arranged for us.
Resort Experience:
The resort was not as glamorous as I had hoped. The main pool (there are two) is small, with little landscaping or shade trees. The unit was clean, and fairly spacious, and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, etc. The lanai was nice, right by the golf course. And we had a great view of the 4th of July fireworks. We didn't spend much time there, we had so many sightseeing trips we wanted to make, but overall, the resort was satisfactory. If you're looking to be right on the beach, this isn't the place to be.

Best Things About the Resort:
Fantasic location north of Kona. Wonderful accommodations.
Resort Experience:
The resort was one of the best we have ever stayed at. The staff was caring and friendly with no problems at all to report - not even a drippy faucet.

Best Things Nearby:
The beach, which is just a short three minute drive away, and the Hilton next door are both "must see" attractions. The King's Court shops are close by and handy for fast food, groceries, and gift shopping. Although we are not golfers, the nearby courses looked very nice.
Best Things About the Resort:
So far this is one of our favorite timeshare places. We really like the location, the upkeep of the property, and the helpful staff. It was nice just sitting out on our lanai enjoying the breeze and the quiet area. The pool that they have is very nice and we utilized it several times. They also have a children's activity center where you can drop off the younger kids for a few hours.
Resort Experience:
The area is a green oasis in the middle of barren black lava flows. This is the dry side of the island ,so it rarely rains right there. The breezes are constant and pleasant. The grounds are kept immaculately as are the units themselves. We had plenty of room and utilized the full kitchen, TVs, stereo, and the washer/dryer. The exercise room was well-equipped and even included towels to dry off with. It's hard to put into words, but it was so nice, peaceful, and relaxing to be there. We will definitely be back again if we can.
