The Bay Club was our first experience staying at an HGVC resort. We vacationed with our 2 sons, ages 17 and 12. Our unit was a 2 bedroom, 2 bath with a very large lanai that overlooked the golf course. Although the unit was a little dated, it was comfortable and clean and we would stay there again. Our only complaint was that upon arrival it was difficult to find where to check in. Bay Club guests register at the HGVC at Waikoloa which shares it's facilities with the Bay Club.

Large two bedroom condo overlooking the 18th fairway of the Waikoloa Resort golf course. Breakfast on the lanai every morning looking up at Mauna Loa Volcano.

The HGVC at Waikoloa Beach Resort is BEAUTIFUL. We had a two-bedroom unit. It had a gorgeous tropical motif, and the lanai overlooked the 16th tee of the golf course. The pool was awesome—it had a small waterslide that was suitable for young children, and there was a "kiddie pool" of sorts built into the regular pool area. Unfortunately we didn't spend much time at the resort because our agenda was pretty busy, but I could easily spend the week right there at the resort if there weren't so many cool things to do and see on the Big Island!

My first impression of the place came after I gave the key to my 12-year-old son. He ran through the condo, returning with a big smile on his face, and pronounced, "COOOL!" Maybe it was because we had just checked out of a standard, though expensive, hotel room in the same area where we were falling over each other's luggage to get dressed, but I don't think so. Our accommodation for the next 7 nights consisted of a king-bedded master bedroom with a top-of-the-line, spa-style marble bath complete with huge soaking tub, giant shower, double sink, and enough towels to dry off all the surfers on the island! In addition to the master bedroom and bath were another generously sized bedroom with two double beds and a full guest bath. The nicely furnished lanai (balcony) was a wonderful place to chill after a strenuous day of sightseeing, having fun in the sun, or waking up with a morning coffee in hand. My son liked the fact that he had his own TV in his own room. His parents liked the fact that with a fully equipped kitchen, we could save money on meals. With better cost management, we could justify spending more on fine dining. All of this space was in addition to the beautiful living and dining area, complete with another TV and sofa bed. Yes, that makes three TVs! We were so impressed with the comfort and quality of the vacation, the accommodation, amenities, and service that we bought a timeshare. We are already planning our return trip next summer!

Had a great time, the parents were so pleased and surprised! Access to the Hilton Waikoloa Village was the best - it's perfect for a family of all ages ranging from 0 to 94! Can you imagine a 94 year old chillin' in the Jacuzzi? We didn't have to leave the resort. It was such a nice, relaxing 5-day getaway! My 4 year old said he had more fun at Waikoloa, better than Walt Disney World, since we got to spend more quality time with each other over there. He can't wait to turn 5 so that he could go on the dolphin quest!
