Isle of Capri Hotel and Casino-Tunica

This hotel has only been open for about a year, and is modern, spacious and clean. Staff, like water, runs hot and cold. Sometimes they seem like the friendliest people in the world, and attempt to make every accomodation for you. Other times they just don''t seem to care. The rooms are almost all large suites, complete with 3 televisions (one in the bathroom), huge personal jacuzzi tubs, balconies and great toiletries and soft towels. Downstairs is Faraday''s Steak House (good, but slow service), Tradewinds Cafe (sandwich bar) and Calypso''s Buffet, as well as the Casino and Concert Hall. Faraday''s has very limited hours (5-11), and for the most part, when Calypso''s is open, Tradewinds is closed (and vice versa). They have a games arcade, but make few accomodations for kids. There is a free shuttle to Harrahs, Hollywood and Sam''s Town. The shuttle to all other casinos costs $1/trip. I always get free nights, so am not sure about the rack price; but if this place had a spa and pool, it would certainly challenge any luxury hotel.

From journal Tunica, the best little gambling town in America?
