Best Things Nearby:
Many beaches within a mile. North there is a nice mini-mall with restaurant, dive shop, jewelry store, and McDonalds. South there are more beaches, a grocery store, small restaurants, and fast food joints.

Best Things About the Resort:
The view, the view, and the view. There aren't a lot of people. So you can enjoy the peace and quiet, and the view. There is a very nice, large swimming pool.

Resort Experience:
The Kuleana Club was just what we were looking for: It's only three-stories high, so it's not crowed with people. It's a great place to unwind and enjoy the island. Our unit was on the second floor; it was a one-bedroom unit with kitchen, bath, front room, and lanai. The bedroom had queen-size bed and had a safe for valuables in the closet. It's not air-conditioned, but we didn't need it as the trade winds blew through the unit and additional ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room were all we needed. There was a foldout Murphy bed in living room, and a lanai overlooking the ocean, garden, and pool; from the deck we could see surfers, and both islands of Lanai and Molokai. We enjoyed the sunset nightly as the sun dropped over the island of Lanai.

My wife and I slept on the Murphy bed in the living room and gave our guests the bedroom--not because we were that gracious, but because we enjoyed listening to the surf break on the shore and waking up to the view each morning. Since we were there three weeks, linen service was weekly on Thursday; if we needed extra towels during the week, we could exchange them at the office.
