Don't be scared by the entrance - you're looking for a set of big black iron gates with a buzzer beside them for the hotel. The hotel itself is through a courtyard and up a couple of flights of stairs, but this is a good thing, as the rooms are further from the street and therefore quieter.
For your 60 euros a night, you get:
Friendly staff, a huge and comfortable bed, a big room with double glazing and shutters on the window, basic furniture, TV, and an ensuite bathroom with admittedly a rather temperamental shower. Good central location for the centro storico - there are posher hotels on the seafront around Santa Lucia, but personally, I'd rather be in the middle of things. Ten-minute walk from the station / where the airport bus drops you, so you don't have to figure out public transport immediately!
Overall, a perfectly adequate place for a decent night's sleep, value for money.
