The beach of course! We had grocery stores, internet cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores all within walking distance.
Best Things About the Resort:
Location, location, location!! Again have to say the beach. Also there is a sand bar just off shore which helps to lessen the impact of the waves. It was my first time swimming in the ocean and I had a great time. The beach was never crowded, most of the time we were the only two people. We were able to get to all parts of the island within an hour's drive from the resort. The activities desk helped us arrange all our tours and car rental after we attended the orientation(a must for first timers to the island). Ask about any discounts for attending sales presentations. We received a $100 voucher and the presentation, at a neighbouring property, was only 25 minutes. They have a hospitality suite if you arrive before check in time. It's a great place to store your luggage and get changed into your swimsuit and head to the beach or pool. Stop by housekeeping each day for complimentary beach/pool towels and beach mats.
Resort Experience:
Absolutely relaxing and quiet. Arriving at the resort, you are greeted by very friendly front desk staff. The reception area has a comfortable seating area, the activities desk, and the video rental kiosk. The grounds are immaculate and very well tended and very private.
All the units are within a very quick walk to the beach and, again, are extremely well kept. There are several buildings on the property, some closer to the pool, some closer to the beach. Each building has three floors and elevator with a parking lot right next to it so you won't have to cart your luggage around too much. There is also a coin laundry room in each building. The units all have a balcony or lanai, A/C and full kitchens including all the pots, pans, cutlery, utensils and dishes, microwave, dishwasher ('cause who wants to clean dishes on vacation!) even the extras like salad bowls and cheese graters and bottle/can openers. Housekeeping is extremely efficient and come in and out when you leave the unit to make the beds and replace the towels. They also cleaned our dishes a couple of times! The washroom we had in the one bedroom unit was dual purpose. One room had the toilet and tub/shower and the other had the sink, mirror and electric outlets. This way you can get ready to go out faster. I could go on and on but that covers the most important features. WE LOVED IT!!!
