I had never been to Hawaii before and I was so glad my first visit was to this resort. It was right on the ocean. Our two-bedroom unit was more than enough for two people. We had a big kitchen, which we did use for breakfast, but it seemed groceries were just as expensive as going out to eat.
The resort is only two to four levels and has many buildings, so it is quite large. It has BBQ grills on the property that we used and so did other guests. There is nothing like grilling out at night and looking at the ocean -– you can't get that in Kansas City.
We loved Kauai because it was so laid-back and this resort fit right into the island. The Hyatt is right next door and has a beach access for Embassy guests. There are paths everywhere along the ocean cliffs.
