We selected this Hyatt because it was very conveniently located - it is by Union Station so it is highly accessible to downtown, the airport and anything else you really want to do (except for some of the outlying tourist attractions). The neighborhood was OK - it was not the most beautiful part of the city, nor was it especially scenic, but it seemed safe and there were no problems with walking around or parking.
The price of the hotel was pretty average - you can book online and get a discount generally, and they also offer a AAA discount. The price includes parking, so if you rent a car you can park it there while you stay in the hotel. There was a small sort of continental breakfast included, but it was really just croissants and coffee, which was OK but nothing amazing. There is also high speed wireless Internet access included in the price - just ask at the desk and they'll give you a login if you need one.
The room was pretty much what you would expect - 2 beds, comfortable, clean, nothing fancy. Housekeeping came and cleaned and made the bed and left fresh towels. Everything was clean and very standardized and typical chain-hotel. The minibar and room service were predictably expensive. The on-demand cable movie package was pretty standard as well- free HBO was included in the price of the room and you could order premium semi-new release movies on the pay per view system.
There was no fancy on-site hotel restaurant, but there were plenty of places nearby to eat that were decent to good and ranged in price from cheap to relatively expensive but fancier. The hotel staff were moderately friendly and moderately helpful. We did not have to wait long to check in or to check out. They were not quick to offer help and suggestions about good places to eat or visit, but did help us and give us directions and a little mini-map when we asked.
Overall, this is a good place to stay if you want a convenient location and a predictable room where you know exactly what you are getting.
