Best Things Nearby:
the incredible beach, Ponce Inlet and Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, Daytona Beach, Cape Canaveral, Orlando area attractions.

Best Things About the Resort:
Steps away from an expansive, clean, flat, white sand beach. No seaweed, no sharp drop-offs, perfect water temperatures.

Resort Experience:
This resort consists of four buildings, three right alongside the beach and one across a pathway from the other three. The beach may just be the finest beach that you will ever see and experience in your life. White sand, palm trees, flat, non-lumpy sand (allowing for great multi-mile bicycle trips), clean, perfect in all respects. As the beachside of New Smyrna Beach is a tad "upscale" (as evidenced by the $1,750,000 single family home we looked at while there), the environment is very much safe and family friendly. And even the smallest child would not be intimidated by the gentle, flat slope encountered while wading into the water. The resort itself consists of two story buildings whose units are all, as far as I know, two-bedroom, two-bath units.

Each unit will comfortably sleep up to six people (if using the fold-out couch to supplement one queen and two double beds). The kitchen may just be better or at least as good as the one you have at home as it includes a large, full size refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and full size stove/oven combination. Also, an "above the oven" microwave, of course. Since Florida (and many other southern states') schools are out at the end of May, our June 2 through 9, 2006 week was packed with kids from all over, with a good number from nearby Orlando. And what a great time they had! You will have a difficult time getting them away from the beach and their boogie boards, inner tubes, small boards used for shoreline surfing, etc.

Kids also loved the planned resort activities including poolside pizza and pool games. The beach was so great we did not make our way to either Orlando or Cape Canaveral as we had planned..although we did take a short drive to Ponce Inlet and Daytona Beach to explore. Daytona Beach was unimpressive due to its honky tonk nature, but Ponce Inlet was very nice. Climbing to the top of the Ponce Inlet lighthouse was great fun and afforded great views. This was probably our best timeshare experience of all time...and do whatever you can to spend some time here. Wish I had bought a condo in New Smyrna Beach before prices went to the moon during the last couple of years.

Best Things Nearby:
The beautiful beach of New Smyrna.

Best Things About the Resort:
It is right on the beach! There are no streets to cross or anything.

Resort Experience:
The pictures RCI have of this resort do not do it justice. While this isn't one of those big resorts with all kinds of planned activities, the advantage of being right on the beach is a winner. There is a nice size pool with a small wading pool attached for toddlers. The buildings are only two stories high with a marvelous view from the second floor. Units are of medium size and adequate for our family of four.

The master bedroom had a queen size bed with a large bathroom with only a shower. The second bedroom had twin beds with a television. The other bathroom had a full bath. We were not cramped at all. The housekeeping and maintainence staff was extremely helpful and accommodating.

Best Things Nearby:
Tons of beach shops. Disney is 45 minutes away. Daytona Beach parasailing is 20 minutes north. Beach shops and the Ponce Delion Inlet is very close with a large harbor to see beatiful boats and fish. On-site beach rates #1.

Best Things About the Resort:
This is right on the ocean and it is only two stories high. You have a short walk down the boardwalk and you are right on the beach. The foliage that surrounds the condo makes you feel like you're secluded.

Resort Experience:
This timeshare two-bedroom/two-bath unit comfortably sleeps six when you include the pull-out sofa. Mom and Dad can enjoy their queen-size bed with attached bathroom while the kids enjoy their own TV/VCR combo in the privacy of their own room with twin beds. Great for winding down after a long fun day on the beach. Kitchen is fully loaded and is separated from the living room by a bar that allows the chef to still be a part of the fun. It's great to save money by not eating out all of the time so you can enjoy a couple of nice expensive meals instead of wasting money on fast food all the time, plus you can eat healthier. The unit had an ocean view.

The pool was nice for little kids because it didn't get very deep and it had a walled-off shallow end for infants and toddlers. The area also had a shade canopy that was nice for sitting under with an infant. This area had several small round tables for picnics or card playing. Parking was under the condos, which was nice because your vehicle didn't feel like a sauna when you got inside. Check in and out was a few miles down the road and they had rentals for beach toys and boogie boards. The resort had a family atmosphere with several young children running around making friends.
