Hoodoo Ski Bowl, Sisters, Bend

Best Things About the Resort:
Large units, nice pools, secluded

Resort Experience:
We have stayed at Eagle Crest before but this was the first time we had a 3 bedroom unit. There are 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, and dining room downstairs. Upstairs is the master bedroom/bathroom with a large walk in closet and a large Jacuzzi tub. On the downstairs deck there is a hot tub and barbecue. There is also a small washer/dryer unit there which came in handy. We had a beautiful view of the Deschutes River from our deck and balcony. The units are very roomy, you feel like you are in a house, not a timeshare unit. We made great use of the indoor pool, the weather wasn't warm enough to use the outdoor pool. One morning as we were leaving there were about 10 deer outside our room, our kids were very excited.

Bend, OR, Deschutes River, Lake Billy Chinook, Volcanic Monument

Best Things About the Resort:
Biking trails, beautiful accommodations, on a golf course, and close to many more activities.

Resort Experience:
I loved the resort and the area. I went with my husband and two boys, 4 and 5. Just across from our unit, there was a nice playground. You could pick up bike trails also right out your front door. Beautiful patio overlooking the golf course and mountains. Some units have a view of a beautiful canyon with the Deschutes River flowing by. We took the Paulina Plunge tour, which includes mountain biking, light hiking, and waterfall play. Visited the Volcanic Monument cave and forest. Went to Sunriver Resort several days for more leisurely mountain biking and horseback riding. If the kids were older, we would have liked to go on a river raft excursion.

The unit was the nicest we've ever stayed in, and it was beautifully remodeled and decorated, with a jacuzzi tub in the master and a balcony off the master. We also rented a patio boat on Lake Billy Chinook and fished. We didn't get to the scenic byway or Sisters, but as you can see, there are so many activities to choose from. Contact the Oregon Visitors Bureau for more info. Our resort also had a good movie selection and some children’s activities. On one day, they offer a 3-hour class for the kids at $25 each. We even found a local teenager who baby-sits within the resort and was highly recommended by the staff. She also had a flyer posted, so we took advantage and went to dinner one night. Also, be sure to check out the local breweries, like Deschutes in Bend. Bend is a large town, and the river runs through it. Great trip!

We had a two-bedroom timeshare for a week. It was right on the 16th fairway. It was huge and beautiful. We loved it there.

The unit was two stories, with the master bedroom upstairs. It had a large jacuzzi that was wonderful.

We sat on our deck every morning, drinking coffee and watching the deer walk by. It was unbelievable.

We can't wait to go back.

Best Things About the Resort:
Beautifully decorated with a private master suite upstairs with a jacuzzi tub and skylight, coffee maker, and own little deck. The condos overlook a deep ravine with the Deschites River at the bottom. The units are situated so you don't see the other units when you are on your decks.

Resort Experience:
A beutiful planned area with two golf courses, swimming and athletic center, walking and horse trail paths set in the middle of high desert country. Bachelor Butte is about 30 minutes away and one can even ski Fourth of July while it is 90-plus degrees in town.

Best Things About the Resort:
The unit was fabulous, the resort was phenomenal, the high desert was a delight, good club houses, and every kind of recreation.

Resort Experience:
My sister and brother-in-law were vacationing with us. When we unlocked the front door and stepped onto the slate floor in the entry way we were thrilled to see the glass wall in the living room and dining area and the deck outside with our own hot tub. In the distance was a canyon. The Dechutes River flows through the bottom of it.

The living room is carpeted and has a beautiful fireplace, upholstered furniture done in high desert colors, and cathedral ceiling made from rough cut oak. The kitchen is light oak, very modern and new, and the dining room furniture is matching light oak.

They took the downstairs bedroom because he uses oxygen and it was easier to set it up. There is a full bath down and a full laundry.

I'll never forget my sister's expression when she saw our upstairs bedroom. She said "Oh my gawd!!!" We have been in a lot of really nice timeshares with Jacuzzis, but she didn't realize they came that gorgeous. This one was special because it has steps leading up to the Jacuzzi and there is a sky light above it. The floor in the bedroom is carpeted and there is a queen size bed and upholstered chair with matching ottoman in more high desert patterns and colors. Pictures throughout are cut paper matching the high desert decor and are quite elegant.

Amenities at the resorts are terrific. There is fishing in the Deschutes River, great horseback riding and stables, hiking trails, nice club houses with services, and golf courses everywhere. This resort is affiliated with a new development intended for year round living, and they share the amenities.
