Best Things Nearby:
The resort is a little way out of the town, so there was not a lot in the immediate area. The resort was so nice though that it was worth being on the outskirts, especially as the town is only two kilometers away and there is a courtesy bus.
Best Things About the Resort:
It is a lovely resort with good facilities. The staff here were really helpful and responded quickly to all our needs.
Resort Experience:
It definitely deserved its Gold Crown status. We stayed in a one-bedroom unit. I would describe it as a suite in a hotel rather than an apartment. As in a hotel, our room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels etc. It wasn't a huge unit, but was adequate for the time we spent in it. The kitchen facilities were more than adequate to make breakfast and light snacks. We had a balcony (some of which have lovely views of the sea and swimming pools) which to begin with looked over a building site, but the staff were extremely helpful in getting us moved to a room on the other side of the hotel.
Downstairs there was very good facilities. My husband made use of the gym and we used the inside and outside swimming pools. The interior was very plush.
Outside the grounds were well-kept and the two outdoor swimming pools made a lovely backdrop. During the week we were there it was very windy around the pools, even though the weather in the town was nice. It did seem to be on a point that caught the wind.
The service was very good. Any problems we had were dealt with immediately and the staff were always courteous. We did think that some of the amenities were a little expensive, like the mini-golf cost 24 euros for a family of four.
The RCI reps were very helpful and for once we weren't hounded into buying another timeshare, yet the same time we were aware that weeks were available to buy. They gave a welcome talk and told us about the local area.
Altogether we were very pleased with our week and would definitely recommend the resort.
