Perched between the mountains and the Mediterranean, at 1200 ft. from sea level, in the heart of the tiny medevial village of Eze and one of the most spectacular positions on the Cote d''Azur with views looking out over the coast and Cap Ferrat, the Chateau de la Chevre d''Or is an immensely romantic luxury hotel of 32 rooms and 1 suite. Converted from 11th century houses, which means some bedrooms are in separate buildings, the chateau retains its medieval character, whilst enjoying all modern facilities such as air-conditioning. The rooms are elegantly furnished and offer a panoramic view of the Mediterranean.
Between the sea and sky, in a natural set up on incomparable beauty, the Chateau de la Chevre d''Or is where it simple to enjoy the pure "joie de vivre". Refinement and comfort are the key words to describe the hotel.
At dawn & dusk, enchanting scenes with unique colors of a mysterious sky can be had from the hotel terraces and its two swimming pools. The hotel has a gastronomic two-star Michelin restaurant, "La Chevre d''Or", with panoramic views over the sea. Additionally, there are a grill room at the chateau, "Le Grill du Château", and Italian-style "L''Oliveto".
Because the streets of Eze are too narrow for cars, guests leave their cars and luggages with the chateau''s porter at the parking area outside the ancient walls and the chateau.
Prices range from $250 for a standard room to $2,400 for the presidential suite. We highly recommend the chateau especially for a romantic short stay.
