Roca Mar is a 3-star hotel. The best part is the sound of the crashing waves from the ocean, which is half a stone's throw from the hotel. From your ocean-view balcony you can enjoy the spectacular vista to the east. Watch the sun rise each day and sleep like a baby with the constant sound of the waves providing white noise and a breeze to cool you down. There is no air-conditioning at this hotel. It is not necessary with an effective ceiling fan in every room. There are windows in every room but also, there are louvered blinds that you can leave open all day.
I had a triple-room with 2 double beds and two twin beds pushed together (think king bed with your own sheets). There are double and single rooms also available. Other amenities include free coffee, a refrigerator in each room, filtered water, a pool by the sea, and 24-hour front desk service for your convenience and protection. I will return to this hotel. It is, however, becoming very popular. The location is great--not on North Beach, but not far from it by foot.
