Best Things Nearby:
The mountains, Lake Lure, and the golf course are the best things nearby. We were in Maple Ridge and were surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery, as well as a view of the golf course.
Best Things About the Resort:
We felt that the location of the resort was one of the best things about it. Our unit was well-maintained and very comfortable for the four of us. We had a wonderful time.
Resort Experience:
Our unit was a two-bedroom, two-bath unit. It had a loft with a sleeper/couch, table and chairs, and dresser. We didn't use the loft since there were only four of us, but it would easily accommodate two additional people. We had a fairly large combination living room/dining room/kitchen, a master bedroom with a queen size bed, a second bedroom with twin beds, and two baths. The master bath had a whirlpool bath in addition to a shower. We also had a screened-in balcony at the back, a fireplace, and a washer and dryer. It was a nice unit and we enjoyed our stay in it.

Accommodations were very nice, spacious with fireplace and nice kitchen. Units have two decks. Townhomes are in the woods and some have a view of the lake and golf course. Unless you are athletic, ask for one with small number of steps at the entrance.

We stayed in the Maple Ridge town homes and the accommodations were great. Beds comfortable, beautiful screened in porch overlooking the golf course, decent living room furniture, good size dining area, and a small kitchen that was fully equipped.

Best Things Nearby:
Chimney Rock Park, Chimney Rock Township,Lake Lure Township and fine dining at The Point of View
Best Things About the Resort:
The beautiful location in the mountains with golf available on-site and also nearby, plus other outdoor activities available
Resort Experience:
This is a wonderful place. We have come back nearly every year since 1990, but the activities have gone from excellent the first year to practically nonexistent in 2003. The scenery is gorgeous and the nearby townships have great dining and shopping, as long as you don't mind driving on twisty turn-y mountain roads. They also don't have a major grocery store very close, so you have to know this in advance and bring your own, or go shopping 40 miles away in Asheville, NC.

Best Things About the Resort:
Very scenic, clean, lots of things to do, and relaxing.
Resort Experience:
The timeshare itself is quite nice and is well taken care of. It is quiet, but there is plenty to do. We had an issue with the pushiness of setting up a meeting to buy/convert to points, and don't like to deal with that stuff on vacation, so that started us off on the wrong foot. However, once we got beyond that, we truly enjoyed our time here. Gorgeous area and resort.
